Changing domestic and global markets present grain producers with some serious challenges but also open up a wealth of exciting and potentially rewarding opportunities.
Competition for Australian grain has never been greater but the changing market landscape means traditional marketing systems are no longer viable.
Growers who market their grain proactively — using timely, reliable, independent information and expert analysis and advice — are ideally positioned to meet the challenges (avoiding possibly expensive mistakes) and, at the same time, exploit the opportunities to reap the rewards on offer in today’s deregulated market.
Market Check’s unique independence, professional experience and cutting edge expertise has helped leading Australian grain growers operate in the markets and generate returns well in excess of those achieved by growers who choose not to utilise our services.
Our services range from providing up-to-the-minute strategic analysis and advice right through to full agency-based marketing before, during and after harvest.
The future is exciting. Let Market Check help you reap the rewards and ensure your grain marketing success for the the long haul.
Complete independence (a matter of trust)
Sadly, independence (freedom from conflict of interest) and independent advice are rare in the business of buying and selling grain and other rural commodities.
Of course, independence isn’t everything. But, when it comes to knowing and trusting who’s on your side, it sure beats whatever comes second.
Market Check takes pride in its unique independence. And so do our members and other clients.
Freedom from conflict of interest allows us to think and act independently on behalf of our clients and provide unbiased, well considered opinions and expert advice.
Importantly, we don’t receive kickbacks or commissions from buyers. Our income is derived entirely from membership subscriptions, advisory income and agency (grain sale) fees paid by grain growers to whom we hold ourselves responsible and accountable at all times.
Grain agents are not the same as grain brokers
Market Check is a completely independent agency which acts on behalf of growers, most of whom are Market Check members.
Grain brokers often receive brokerage fees or commissions from grain buyers. They are paid to drive the best ‘deals’ on behalf of buyers and to maximise turnover … often, to the detriment of growers.
Market Check is not affiliated with and receives no brokerage from, any buyers of grain.
As an agent we are focused on acting for and on behalf of grower clients who, as sellers, pay us an agency fee calculated as a flat percentage of the price received from ‘ex-farm’, ‘delivered’ and ‘track’ (‘in system’) markets. Please click here for further information.
Grain Tenders
Market Check tenders allow growers to consolidate their offerings with others and attract the interest of ‘volume’ buyers looking for large parcels of high specification grain, a key new demand in an open export environment.
Tenders run by Market Check give growers greater access to more markets and enables them to leverage better prices for their grain. Please click here for more information on Market Check Tenders.
